Number of Awards & Eligibility: Up to 100 awards provided annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be Latino.
  2. This award is for U.S. and international students.
  3. Must be majoring in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
  4. Must be a college junior or senior during the upcoming fall semester.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  6. Must currently attend college in or previously have attending a high school in one of the following northern California counties: Alameda County, Contra Costa County, Marin County, Napa County, San Francisco County, San Mateo County, Santa Clara County, Santa Cruz County, Solano County, Sonoma County or Yolo County.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Latinos in Technology Scholarship is available for Hispanic and Latino students who are majoring in and accepted to an undergraduate program for a STEM subject (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Applicants must be rising juniors or seniors and must plan to enroll on a full time basis.

Application requirements for the Latinos in Technology Scholarship are:

Additional Information: The Latinos in Technology Scholarship was founded by the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley and provides up to one hundred scholarships each year to Hispanic and Latino students in the Silicon Valley area who are pursuing a degree in a STEM field. Applicants must be entering their junior or senior year in the upcoming fall semester, and they must be previous graduates of high schools in one of the following North California counties: Northern California counties: Alameda County, Contra Costa County, Marin County, Napa County, San Francisco County, San Mateo County, Santa Clara County, Santa Cruz County, Solano County, Sonoma County and Yolo County. Applicants who are currently attending a college or university in one of the above-named counties are also eligible to apply.

Award Amount: $10,000 annually, renewable for up to two additional years for a total maximum of $30,000 over three years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000,000.
