Number of Awards & Eligibility: One to five awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must plan to attend Central Maine Community College (CMCC) in Auburn, Maine.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  4. Must enroll in the machine tool technology trade program at CMCC.
  5. Must be a high school senior at time of application.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: High school seniors who plan to attend Central Maine Community College and participate in its two-year machine tool technology trade program are eligible for this full-tuition scholarship. Recipients must agree to work for the Maine Machine Products Company for at least 18 months following completion of the program.

Additional Information: MMPCo offers this two-year scholarship for an associate's degree in machine tool technology through Central Maine Community College, which also includes a work study program for qualified applicants. A student in the work study program must work for MMPCo for a minimum of 24 months after graduation.

Award Amount: The scholarship will cover tuition, books and lab fees for the full two-year program. The student must maintain a grade point average of 2.67 or higher.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications are available by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the Maine Machine Products Company (MMPCo) using the address provided. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit the following: two short narratives addressing the topics listed on the application; a resume or list of work experience; and a copy of his/her high school transcript. If the applicant is under 18, his/her parent or legal guardian must complete the application form. The applicant must also sign and submit the 'Scholarship Agreement' form and 'Student Permission for Release of Records' form. The application and all supplemental materials must be sent to the address provided, and must be postmarked by the deadline date.
