Number of Awards & Eligibility: Five awards offered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a female.
  2. Must be a high school senior accpeted to attend full time course study at an accredited U.S. institution.
  3. Must have at least a 3.2 GPA.
  4. Must plan to play competitive golf at an accredited institution in the U.S.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The LPGA Foundation supports women and young people through programs and initiatives aimed at empowering them through the game of golf. Applicants must have played in a minimum of 50% of a high school golf team scheduled events or have played competitive junior golf “regularly” for the past two years.

Additional Information: The Marilynn Smith Scholarship is granted annually through The LPGA Foundation and the Marilynn Smith Scholarship Fund. Established in 1999 by Marilynn with the proceeds of a golf tournament she organized, the objective of the Marilynn Smith Scholarship is to provide a scholarship to a female high school senior who has played golf in high school or in her community and is planning to play golf at an accredited college or university in the United States. Five $5,000 scholarships will be awarded in 2022.

Award Amount: $5,000  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $25,000.
