Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a college freshman or older to apply for this undergraduate award.
  3. Must be enrolled full time.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.4 or higher.
  5. Must major in industrial engineering. Priority will be given to those students focusing in work measurement and methods engineering.
  6. Must be a student member of the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineering as reflected on his/her October chapter roster or before. New member applications must be completely processed prior to the end of September in order for a student to be eligible.
  7. Must attend a college or university in the U.S., its territories, Canada or Mexico.

Description: This award is for college freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who have a grade point average of 3.4 or higher and are members of the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers. The student must major in industrial engineering and may attend an institution in the U.S., its territories, Canada or Mexico.

Additional Information: Priority consideration is given to, but limited, to students who have demonstrated an interest in work measurement and methods engineering. The nominee's scholastic ability, character, leadership, potential service to the industrial engineering profession, and need for financial assistance are all considered. Priority is given to students who have demonstrated an interest in work measurement and methods engineering. Please note: Students that are nominated and selected as a finalist will be sent an application package to complete and return to IISE. Applications must be postmarked on or before Feb. 1.

Award Amount: $1,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.

A student cannot directly apply for this scholarship; he/she must be nominated by his/her industrial engineering department head or faculty adviser. Nomination forms are available on the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers (IISE) website and must be completed online by Nov. 15. All application materials must be received by the deadline date.
