In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be a resident of Mercer County in New Jersey.
  4. Must be a high school senior at time of application.

Additional Information: This is a competitive scholarship, and the recipient will be selected based on leadership, financial need, achievement and character. It is very important that the student has exhibited leadership in his/her school, extracurricular and/or community activities in preparation for making a positive contribution to his/her future communities. Award notification will be posted on the PACF website on June 1.

Award Amount: $5,250 annually, renewable for one year. The scholarship will be mailed directly to the institution where the student is enrolled on July 31.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,250.

Applications are available at the student's high school guidance office or on the Princeton Area Community Foundation (PACF) website. In addition to the completed application, each student must submit a copy of his/her financial aid award letter; a copy of his/her acceptance letter from a college or vocational school; a one- to two-page, typed essay responding to one of the questions listed on the application; two letters of recommendation; a high school transcript and any additional supporting materials he/she wishes to include. The student must also file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) by the deadline date. The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. The student is required to submit the SAR (Student Aid Report) which is generated upon completion and submission of the FAFSA. All applications and supporting materials must be submitted online no later than the deadline date.
