Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be an incoming or current student.
  4. Must attend or plan to attend Miami Dade College.
  5. Must have an interest in business, leadership, and/or entrepreneurship. Please note: The scholarship is open to a student enrolled in any degree or certificate program.
  6. Must be a resident of Miami, Florida.
  7. Must be a minority as defined in Florida Statutes 288.703(4).
  8. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. minority students who are enrolled at or have been accepted to Miami Dade College and have an interest in business, leadership, and/or entrepreneurship. Students must be residents of Miami, Florida, and have demonstrated financial need and a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

Application requirements for the Miami Dade College Bayside Foundation Scholarship are:

Additional Information: All students must have demonstrated financial need based on federal financial aid standards. The final recipients will be chosen principally on the basis of academic performance or potential and the extent of unmet financial need.

Award Amount: Up to $2,000 annually for students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours per semester and $500 annually for students enrolled in 6-11 credit hours. Awards are non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $750.

Applications are available online on the Miami Dade College (MDC) website. In addition to a completed application, the student must also submit an essay of 250 words that demonstrates his/her interest in business, leadership, and/or entrepreneurship. Each student must also have a filed a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Applications must be mailed to the address provided, and must be received by the deadline date.
