Number of Awards & Eligibility: Twenty to Forty awards given.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be 25 and under by the time of the application.
  2. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 for undergraduates and a 3.0 for graduates.
  3. Must be a full time student.
  4. Must be a high school senior, undergraduate or graduate.

Description: The NAACP Agnes Jones Jackson Scholarship honors its namesake who was a long time member from the San Francisco branch with up to 40 scholarships for graduating high school seniors, undergraduate and graduate students based on GPA and financial need.

Application requirements for the NAACP’s Agnes Jones Scholarship are:

Additional Information: All Students Must: • Be a US citizen • Be a current NAACP member • Not have reached the age of 25 by the application deadline. • Be currently enrolled in or accepted by an accredited college or university in the United States. • Demonstrate financial need based on the federal poverty guidelines Graduating High School Seniors and Undergraduate Students: must be full-time students with a grade point average of 2.5 (C+) on a 4.0 system. Graduate Students may be full or part time students with a 3.0 (B) average on a 4.0 system.

Award Amount: Twenty (20) – Forty (40) Scholarships Available– Maximum Scholarship Amount is $2,000.00.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $80,000.
