Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a resident of the greater Kansas City area (Jackson, Clay, Platte and Cass counties in MO and Johnson and Wyandotte in KS).
  2. Must be pursuing a degree in performing arts.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. This award is for U.S. students.

Additional Information: The Reat Griffin Underwood Memorial Scholarship is provided annually for students in the greater Kansas City metro area who are active in and planning to major in a performing art such as dance, music, and theater. Award selection will be based on video submissions, academic records, and any demonstrated financial need. Recipients will be required to attend the SevenDays LOVE day in early April to receive the award. This scholarship is administered through the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation (GKCCF), a local area charity founded in 1978 with the purpose of providing a dedicated and consolidated resource for diverse and otherwise unrelated charity efforts. From its humble beginnings, the scope of the GKCCF has expanded to include the broader regional area, as well as national inititatives, scholarships, and other programs designed to benefit communities across the country.
