Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be graduating or have graduated from a high school in Emmett, Idaho.
  4. Must be a current graduating high school senior or be enrolled or planning to enroll in undergraduate or graduate study.
  5. Must be enrolled or enrolling part time or full time at a school of his/her choice, including any public or private junior college, college, university, vocational, or technical school.
  6. Must be enrolled or enrolling in a program in the medical or paramedical field, including but not limited to nursing, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, physical therapy, anesthesiology, kinesiology, etc.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to students who are graduating from or have graduated from a high school in Emmett, Idaho and plan to enroll or are enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies. Students must pursue a program in the medical or paramedical field, including but not limited to nursing, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, physical therapy, anesthesiology, kinesiology, etc.

Additional Information: Consideration is given to financial need and academic performance, but the latter should not be the primary determinant.

Award Amount: The award amount varies annually. Awards are non-renewable; previous recipients may reapply for additional funding.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,600.

Applications are available on the Idaho Community Foundation (ICF) website. Please note: The student may apply for all scholarships for which he/she is qualified; however, a separate application and supplemental materials must be submitted for each scholarship. In addition to a completed application, the student must submit the following materials: five one-page essays addressing the topics listed on the application; a copy of his/her most recent high school transcript, report card, or unofficial/uncertified college transcript; a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid); two letters of recommendation describing his/her character, personality traits, and academic achievement (one letter from a teacher, counselor, or school administrator, and one from a community leader, employer, or family friend); and a one- to two-page essay explaining why he/she should be considered for this scholarship and why he/she has chosen a career in the medical or paramedical field.
