Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must Largo High School in Largo, Florida.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  3. Must demonstrate a commitment to community service and potential for leadership.
  4. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  6. This award is for U.S. students.

Description: This scholarship is available for graduating high school seniors in Largo, Florida who are active in community service. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, unmet financial need, and must demonstrate a potential for leadership.

Additional Information: Provided annually by the Rotary Club, this scholarship is awarded to a Largo High School senior who demonstrates academic achievement, community participation, and unmet financial need. Additional preference is given to students who demonstrate potential for leadership.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications and information about this award are available online at the Pinellas Education Foundation website using the link provided.To be considered for this award, students must complete an online application form consisting of 12 steps. Completed applications will include information about the following items: the student's academic record; participation in community, service, and extracurricular activities; financial need as detailed in the Student Aid Report obtained by filing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); information about subjects the student is interested in through a list of prospective majors; as well as the names of any colleges or universities the student has applied to or been accepted to.The Student Aid Report (SAR) is obtained by filing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices.All applications must be completed online by the deadline date.
