Number of Awards & Eligibility: Varies: one or more awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a resident of Florida.
  4. Must have a demonstrated interest in golf, but be unable to qualify for an athletic scholarship.
  5. Must be accepted to and be planning to attend a Florida college or university.
  6. Must be attending a high school in Florida.
  7. Must be a high school senior at time of application.
  8. Must be a female.
  9. Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: Female Florida high school seniors who have an interest in golf and plan to attend a college or university in Florida are eligible to apply for this award. Students cannot have earned an athletic scholarship.

Additional Information: The Junior Girls' Scholarship Fund's mission is to provide financial assistance to college- or university-bound women with an interest in golf.

Award Amount: Up to $3,000 per year per student.   The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $15,000.

Applications are available online from the Florida Women's State Golf Association (FWSGA) website. In addition to the completed application, each student must submit the following: a recent photograph; copies of her transcript; three letters of recommendation (one each from her guidance counselor and an academic teacher, and the third from someone other than a relative); and her ACT/SAT scores; and a copy of her FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. The application and all supplemental materials must be mailed to the address provided by the deadline date. Application deadline - June 1st Selections made - July 15th
