Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be African American.
  2. Must be a graduating high school senior.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 2.7 or higher.
  4. Must have a record of community service in one of the five target areas.
  5. Must reside in St. Louis city, the Missouri counties of St. Louis, St. Charles, Jefferson, Franklin, Lincoln, or the Illinois counties of St. Clair or Madison.
  6. This award is for U.S. students.

Additional Information: The The Archway (MO) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated Community Service Scholarship is provided annually to African American students in the St. Louis area who have shown a commitment to comunity service in one of the five key focus areas of the Links, Inc.'s mission: youth services; arts; international charities; legislative and educational issues; or health awareness. Award selection will based on a combination of community service contributions, academic achievement, and unmet financial need. Scholarship Central is made possible by a joint commitment between St. Louis Graduates and the St. Louis Community Foundation, as well as a variety of private and public sponsors.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

The application deadline date has not yet been finalized for this year, but is expected to remain the same as last year. The deadline date shown here is tentative based on last year's date. Please check back in December for a refreshed application deadline date. Online applications and additional details about this award are available online at the Scholarship Central website. To be considered for this award, students must register an online account with the Scholarship Central scholarship application system. In addition to the online application form, applicants for the The Archway (MO) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated Community Service Scholarship must submit: responses to the supplemental questions; a description of all community service work completed; high school and/or college transcripts; proof of financial need; two letters of recommendation; and two essays of up to 500 words in length. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted through the online system no later than the deadline date.
