Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior or currently enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program in the United States.
  4. Must possess a proven record of interest in healthy communities through past and present volunteer, professional, or educational experiences.
  5. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. high school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students who possess a proven record of interest in healthy communities through past and present volunteer, professional, or educational experiences. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the Thomas Soldan Healthy Communities Scholarship are:

  • Official Transcript
Additional Information: The winner will be announced in summer.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Application information is available on the scholarship website. To apply, the student must submit the following materials: a resumé that includes academic, professional, and volunteer experience; a 500-word statement identifying the applicant and his/her past and future dedication to healthy communities and sustainable initiatives; and a current official transcript. First-year college students may submit an official transcript from their most recent school as well as an unofficial transcript from their current postsecondary institution. Application materials must be emailed to the provided address no later than deadline date.
