Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards varies depending on the number of qualified applicants who are accepted to the program.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be between the ages of 13 and 17.
  2. Must attend a local program in New York City, Las Vegas, Boston, Toronto, or Ottawa.

Description: The Knowledge Society provides scholarships to students who enroll in their eleven month extracurricular technology program. Applicants must be between the ages of 13 and 17 and must demonstrate a passion for using technology to solve problems.

Application requirements for the TKS Scholarship are:

Additional Information: Upon submission of the completed application form, students will be invited to an interview either in person, or via video chat. TKS introduces students to cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence, blockchain, genomics, and quantum computing through a program led by successful entrepreneurs who have thrived in high technology firms.

Award Amount: The scholarship amount is a $500 reduction from the total cost of the nine-month, extra-curricular program. Details about tuition and fees can be found at the TKS website for the city the student resides in.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.

Applications and additional information about this program can be found online at The Knowledge Society (TKS) website. To receive a scholarship, students must first be accepted to and enrolled in a local TKS program. Programs are currently offered in five cities in the United States and Canada, and typically require a minimum of three hours a week (usually on weekends). To apply for the program, students must complete a short interest form at which time the complete application form will be sent to them by email. All applications must be completed by the deadline date to be considered for the current year's available programs.
