Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a college freshman or older to apply for this undergraduate award.
  3. Must be pursuing a course of study in industrial engineering.
  4. Must be an Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers member as reflected on his/her October chapter roster or before. New member applications must be completely processed prior to the end of September in order for a student to be eligible.
  5. Must enroll as a full-time student.
  6. Must be a female.
  7. Must have a grade point average of 3.4 or higher.
  8. Must attend a college or university in the U.S., Canada or Mexico.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: Female members of the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers (IISE) who are pursuing a course of study in industrial engineering and have a grade point average of 3.4 or higher are eligible for this award. Students may attend a college in the U.S., its territories, Canada, or Mexico.

Application requirements for the United Parcel Service Scholarship for Female Students are:

Additional Information: The nominee's scholastic ability, character, leadership, potential service to the industrial engineering profession, and need for financial assistance are all considered by the scholarship fund trustees when selecting the scholarship recipients. Students must have a graduation date after May/June 2018. Please note: Students that are nominated and selected as a finalist will be sent an application package to complete and return to IISE. Applications must be postmarked on or before Feb. 1.

Award Amount: $4,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,000.

A student cannot directly apply for this scholarship; he/she must be nominated by his/her industrial engineering department head or faculty adviser. Nomination forms are available on the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers (IISE) website and must be completed online by Nov. 15. All application materials must be received by the deadline date.
