Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a high school senior at time of application.
  3. Must graduate from a Baltimore city public high school.
  4. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher.
  5. Must have an SAT score of 1200 or higher (combined critical reading and math scores only) OR an ACT score of 27 or higher.
  6. Must be accepted to and plan to attend the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
  7. Must be a U.S. citizen.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is for U.S. high school seniors who have have a cumulative 3.3 grade point average or better; and have a combined SAT (critical reading and math) score of 1200 or above, or ACT score of 27 or higher. Students must also have applied and been accepted to the University of Maryland Baltimore County.

Additional Information: The University of Maryland Baltimore County is happy to support the CollegeBound Foundation in its efforts to provide students with an opportunity for a college education.

Award Amount: $10,000 annually, renewable for three years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $10,000.

Information is available online at the CollegeBound Foundation website. Applications are only available online through the online portal. In addition to completing the CollegeBound Foundation Competitive Scholarship Application, the applicant must also submit the following: two letters of recommendation; a copy of his/her college acceptance letter(s); a typed essay addressing the topic listed on the application (if applicable); community service verification(s) (if applicable); and a copy of his/her recent high school transcript, including the first semester of the senior year. All application materials must be received by the deadline.
