Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually and is dependent on the number of eligible students.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international students.
  2. Must be a graduating high school senior to apply for this freshman year award.
  3. Must plan to attend the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
  4. Must attend a college or university in Nebraska.

Description: International graduating high school seniors who demonstrate academic achievement and plan to attend the University of Nebraska at Lincoln are eligible for this award.

Application requirements for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Global Ambassador Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Proof of English proficiency
  • Bank statement
Additional Information: Scholarship consideration is based on previous academic achievement.

Award Amount: $10,000 annually, renewable for up to three additional years as long as the recipient maintains a grade point average of 2.0 or higher and completes 24 credits each year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $40,000.

There is not a separate application for this award. The stuent will be considered upon admission to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In addition to the completed admissions application, the student must submit transcripts, proof of English proficiency, and a bank statement. There are two deadlines annually: Dec. 1 for the spring semester and July 15 for the summer/fall semesters.
