Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Preference will be given to a single parent.
  4. Must be an incoming student who has completed 30 or less undergraduate credit hours.
  5. Must plan to attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
  6. Must graduate from a Wisconsin high school.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: Students who graduated from a Wisconsin high school and have earned less than 30 undergraduate credit hours are eligible for this award. Students must plan to attend University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire; preference will be given to single parents.

Additional Information: To be considered, students must have a well-rounded record of academic achievement, leadership and involvement in extracurricular activities. Students must also demonstrate significant financial need. Preference is given to a single parent. The decision will be made before the start of the academic year.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, renewable for one additional year if the recipient has a successful freshman year and maintains good academic standing.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.

Applications are available online from the University of Wisconsin (UW)-Eau Claire website. There is not a separate application for this award. The student will be considered upon admission to UW-Eau Claire. In addition to the completed admission application, the student must submit a $40 fee, transcripts, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. Applications must be submitted by the deadline date.
