Number of Awards & Eligibility: Up to eleven awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior to apply for this freshman year award.
  4. Must graduate in the top 25% of his/her graduating class.
  5. Must be African American, Hispanic/Latino, American Indian/Alaskan Native, Asian OR be economically disadvantaged.
  6. Must have an ACT/SAT score of 25/1150 or higher.
  7. Must plan to attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (UW-Eau Claire).

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: Graduating high school seniors who are minorities or economically disadvantage are eligible for this award. Students must rank in the top 25% of their graduating class and have an ACT/SAT of 25/1150 or higher.

Application requirements for the UW-Eau Claire Diversity Scholar Award are:

  • SAT/ACT scores
Additional Information: Recipients must complete at least three-quarters of enrolled credits. This award supersedes the Freshmen Honors award. Recipients must participate in retention activities hosted by the Office of Multicultural Affairs.

Award Amount: Up to $3,000 per semester, renewable for up to three years for a total of $24,000.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $24,000.

Applications for admission are available online form the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (UW-Eau Claire). There is not a separate application for this award. A student will be automatically considered upon admission to the university. In addition to the completed admissions application, the student must submit a $44 application fee, an official transcript, and ACT/SAT scores. Applications must be submitted by the priority deadline of Dec. 1 or the final deadline of Feb. 1. The applicant must be eligible at the point of admissions (Feb. 1) to be considered.
