Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be provided annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a graduating high school senior.
  2. Must reside in and attend a high school in Ventura County, California.
  3. Must be planning to major in art at a four-year college or university.

Additional Information: The Ventura County Young Artists Scholarship Fund is provided annually to graduating high school seniors in Ventura County, California who plan to pursue an undergraduate degree in art. Award selection will be based largely on the responses to the essay submission, with preference given to applicants who clearly articulate how their art provides a benefit for the community.

Award Amount: $900 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $900.

Applications for and additional details about the Ventura County Young Artists Scholarship Fund are available online at the Ventura County Community Foundation website. To apply for this scholarship, students must complete all sections of the online application form. Applicants must also submit an original essay in response to the award's topic, as well as two letters of recommendation. At least one letter of recommendation must be submitted by a current faculty member at the school the student is attending. All applications and supporting documents must be received by the deadline date.
