Number of Awards & Eligibility: Eighty four awards offered annually (21 per scouting region). This number can vary annually based on the amount of funds available.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be an Eagle Scout and have received credentials from the national office.
  3. Must be a high school senior or an undergraduate student at time of application. The latest a student can apply is at the completion of his junior year. *Please note: Students can only receive this award one time.
  4. Must be a male.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for Eagle Scouts who are graduating high school seniors or current undergraduate students. Students may apply no later than the completion of their junior year of college. Students should have score a minimum 1290 SAT or an ACT score of at least 28. Learn more and apply today!

Additional Information: Students must have demonstrated leadership ability in scouting and a strong record of participation in activities outside of scouting. Please note: This scholarship is not available to students attending any of the U.S. military academies, because at these academies expenses covered by NESA scholarships are already paid by the United States Government.

Award Amount: $2,000 to $5,000 annually, non-renewable. This amount can vary annually based on the amount of funds available. The award can be used for tuition, books and/or room and board only.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,500.

Applications are available online from the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) website. In addition to a completed online application, the student must also submit the following: a high school transcript covering a minimum of six semesters (may be a photocopy); an official SAT and/or ACT score sheet (these scores may appear on the transcript instead); and one signed recommendation letter from a volunteer or professional Scout leader who knows him personally. This is the only endorsement required. Endorsements from teachers, counselors, etc. will not be accepted. Paper applications will not be accepted and all information must be entered online by the deadline date.
