Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually, based upon available funds.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must attend Florida State College.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  4. Must be a full-time student.
  5. Must have completed at least 24 college credit hours at Florida State College to apply for this undergraduate award.
  6. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  7. Must demonstrate leadership qualities in the areas of student activities, athletics, church, or community activities

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is for current full-time Florida State College students who have completed 24 credit hours and are pursing an associate's (AA or AS) degree. The student must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

Application requirements for the H.D. “BO” Cotton Memorial Scholarship are:

  • Scholarship application form
  • FAFSA
  • Recommendation letters (2)
  • Essay
Additional Information: The student must demonstrate leadership qualities in the areas of student activities, athletics, church or community service. Applicants must have already completed 24 credit hours.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
