Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually based upon the number of eligible applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  4. Must demonstrate exceptional academic achievement.
  5. Must attend Beloit College in Wisconsin.
  6. Must plan to enroll full time.
  7. Must demonstrate leadership and service to his/her school and community.
  8. Must attend a college or university in Wisconsin.

Description: This award is for U.S. high school seniors who plan to attend Beloit College in Wisconsin full time. The student must demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and potential for continued success as a scholar and contributor to campus life.

Application requirements for the Beloit College Presidential Scholarship are:

  • School Report
  • SAT/ACT scores
  • Interview strongly recommended
Additional Information: Applicants are identified by the admissions committee and recommended to the president for this award. The selection of candidates is based on exceptional academic achievement and potential for continued success as a scholar and contributor to campus life. Students will be notified within two weeks after the admission decision has been sent.

Award Amount: The scholarship ranges from $36,000 annually, renewable for three additional years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $36,000.

Scholarship information is available on the Beloit College website. Students are considered for this scholarship by applying for admission to Beloit. A separate scholarship application is not required. Admissions application instructions are available online on the Beloit College website at www.beloit.edu/prospective/apply/firstyearapplicants/ . Beloit College uses the Common Application as its admissions application, which is available online at www.commonapp.org. In addition to the Common Application, the student must also submit the following: a Beloit College Supplement (part of the Common Application); a School Report, completed by a college advisor or guidance counselor); secondary school transcripts; a teacher recommendation, preferably from someone who has taught him/her within the last year; and official SAT or ACT scores. If the student's first language is not English, he/she must also submit TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores. It is expected that the student will submit the School Report and teacher recommendation via the Common Application. However, Beloit College will also accept those materials by mail, by fax, or in PDF emailed to [email protected]. Although not required, an interview is strongly recommended for consideration for this scholarship. The student may also submit additional letters of recommendation and/or a creative piece. Admissions deadlines are as follows: early decision and early action I, Nov. 1; early action II, Dec. 1; early decision II and regular decision, Jan. 15.
