Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  3. Must be a resident of Vermont.
  4. Must be an incoming or current undergraduate student.
  5. Must enroll full time.
  6. Must seek a degree in a field related to environmental studies, including, but not limited to, conservation, forestry, geology, natural resources management, renewable resources, water quality, or wildlife/wild lands management.
  7. Must demonstrate academic achievement with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  8. Must demonstrate community involvement and/or service.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to Vermont undergraduate students who are seeking a degree in a field related to environmental studies. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and must demonstrate financial need and community involvement and/or service.

Additional Information: This scholarship was created to help support students of environmentalism and to rebuild the water and wastewater management industry in the state. Applicants must attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding, and must demonstrate financial need. Selection is based on application documents, academic achievement, and financial need. There are approximately 90 applicants for this award each year.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
