Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must participate in one of the following activities: art, band, chorus, theater arts, orchestra, intercollegiate athletics, student government, or student media.
  3. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate award.
  4. Must attend Jacksonville University in Florida.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Award Amount: The amount varies based on the recommendation of the supervisor of the activity. The award is renewable for up to three additional years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $8,000.

Additional information about this award can be found by going to the Jacksonville University (JU) website. Students must apply for admission to JU to be considered for this award. An additional scholarship application is not required. Students may request a paper application by contacting Admissions, but online applications are encouraged. There is a $30 fee to apply. The student should submit the following documentation with his/her application: an official high school and/or college transcript; official SAT and/or ACT scores; a letter of recommendation (optional); and a essay or personal statement (optional). The student must also file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the deadline date. The FAFSA is available online, at high guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. In addition, the student may have to audition, present a portfolio and/or interview for this award. Interested students should contact the appropriate college or division to learn more about specific requirements. Priority is given to students who apply by March 31 for the fall semester. Applications sent after this date will be reviewed on a space-available basis.
