In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  2. Must demonstrate a commitment to community service.
  3. Must attend Roy C. Ketcham High School in Wappingers Falls, New York.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.

Additional Information: This award is provided annually by the Rotary Club of Wappingers Falls to honor Vincent Paino, Sr. for his many years of dedication to the Club as a charter member longtime Sgt. at arms and many hours of community service through Rotary.  A scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from Roy C. Ketcham High School or a student who would resides in the RCK area.

Award Amount: $500 to $2,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,250.

Applications are available online from the Community Foundation of Hudson Valley website at the address provided. In addition to the completed application, each applicant must submit two letters of recommendation (one academic and one personal); a copy of his/her most recent transcript; a copy of the student's Student Aid Report (SAR) and Expected Family Contribution (EFC) information; and an essay of approximately 500 words responding to the prompt listed on the application. The Student Aid Report (SAR) is obtained by filing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. Applications must be completed online by the deadline date.
