In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must have completed at least nine college credit hours at the time of application.
  2. Must attend Florida State College at Jacksonville.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  4. This award is for U.S. and international students.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. and international students who are enrolled at Florida State College at Jacksonville. Applicants must have completed at least 9 credit hours of college-level coursework, must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher, and must continue to enroll in at least six credit hours per semester.

Additional Information: Each applicant must have completed a minimum of six credit hours to be eligible for this award. This award is provided by private donors and the FSCJ Foundation Inc. It is based on the availability of funds provided by the donors.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications and information about this award are available on the Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) website at the address provided. To be considered for this award, students must complete the online scholarship application form. The form can be accessed through the student's web account by clicking on the 'Scholarships' link in the right side of his/her homepage. In addition to the online application, students must also submit an essay response to the question on the application, and two letters of recommendation from current FSCJ faculty members. Students must also file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the deadline date. The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. All applications must be completed online by the deadline date to ensure consideration for the upcoming semester.
