Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a resident of Alabama.
  2. Must be a college senior during the year of the award.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.
  5. Must be majoring in Architecture, Building Science, or Civil Engineering.
  6. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
  7. Must attend a college or university in Alabama.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for senior undergraduate students who are residents of Alabama and enrolled at a college or university in Alabama. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and must be majoring in Architecture, Building Science, or Civil Engineering.

Additional Information: The Alabama Concrete Industries Association Foundation was established in 1993 from a single contribution to a memorial scholarship honoring one of the industry's bright young leaders, David F. Wright. David lost his life in an aviation accident, but his legacy and passion for concrete lives on through the students who have been impacted by the opportunities provided through the foundation and growing scholarship fund. Award selection is based on a combination of academic achievement as well as other requested application materials. Recipients will be notified and presented with checks in January.

Award Amount: $8,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $16,000.
