Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  3. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  4. Must demonstrate financial need by qualifying for free or reduced cost school lunches.
  5. This award is for U.S. students.
  6. Must reside in Hillsborough County, Florida.
  7. Must plan to attend Hillsborough Community College.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Arthur H. Henderson Memorial Kiwanis HCC Scholarship is available for high school seniors in Hillsborough County Florida who have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher. Applicants must qualify for free or reduced cost school lunches and must plan to attend Hillsborough Community College to be eligible.

Additional Information: The following documents will be requested from student finalists by the Foundation during the spring review period: a copy of the applicant's social security card and proof of financial need in the form of the 1st page of the 1040 tax form of the parent who claims the applicant as a dependent. If the applicant's parent(s) do not file a 1040 tax form, then proof of disability or SSI will be accepted.

Award Amount: $3,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.
