Number of Awards & Eligibility: A minimum of 25 awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  3. Must be enrolled or plan to enroll full time at an accredited college or university.
  4. Must be a member of the Boeing Employees' Credit Union.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  6. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate award.

Description: This award is available for U.S. undergraduate students who are members of the Boeing Employees' Credit Union. Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher and be enrolled or plan to enroll full time at an accredited college or university.

Additional Information: The BECU Foundation was established in 1995 by BECU to encourage and administer contributions for educational scholarships. Scholarships are awarded based on community and school service, leadership potential, academic achievement, and the applicant's passion for helping others. Previous recipients are not eligible to apply.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually,renewable for up to 2 years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $62,500.

The application deadline date has not yet been finalized for this year, but is expected to remain the same as last year. The deadline date shown here is tentative based on last year's date. Please check back in January when applications are expected to become available. Applications are available on the Boeing Employees' Credit Union (BECU) website from Jan. 1 through Feb. 28. In addition to a completed application, the applicant must also submit the following: an essay, limited to 1,000 words, addressing the question listed on the application; two letters of recommendation, one from an instructor or supervisor and the other from someone affiliated with the activity described in the applicant's essay (each letter must be one page only); and a transcript from the most recent school attended. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. PT on the deadline date.
