Number of Awards & Eligibility: Up to three students will each receive an award.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must have an active ASA membership.
  2. Must have a bachelor’s degree and be enrolled in a master’s or doctoral program in statistics or biostatistics.

Description: Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and be enrolled in a master’s or doctoral program in statistics or biostatistics. The award will also consider general academic performance, leadership, volunteering, and service. Annually, up to five students will each receive an award of $1,000. Learn more and apply today!

Additional Information: The Biopharmaceutical Section Scholarship Award was established in 2018 by the Biopharmaceutical Section of the American Statistical Association. The award recognizes notable research, academic achievement, and applied project work related to biopharmaceutical statistics. The award will also consider general academic performance, leadership, volunteering, and service. Membership in the Biopharmaceutical Section is not required but ASA membership is. Winners are announced mid-Apri.

Award Amount: Annually, up to three students will each receive an award of $1,000.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
