Additional Information: The Capital Area Promise Scholarship is provided to students who are graduating from Sacramento area high schools. To be eligible, applicants must demonstrate significant, un-met financial need. Award selection will be based on a combination of academic merit and other factors, as determined by the individuals or organizations who are sponsoring the award. The Sacramento Region Community Foundation manages and administers dozens of scholarship programs that are available to local area students. Funds are financially supported by individuals, families, businesses, and other charitable organizations within Sacramento. Award Amount: Up to $2,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.

Applications and additional information about this award may be found online at the Sacramento Community Foundation website. To apply for this award, students must first register an account and then complete the online scholarship application form. Once the account is created, students will be notified of precisely which awards they are eligible for. As a part of the online application, students must also submit short answer responses to one or more questions as outlined on the scholarship information and application page.
