Number of Awards & Eligibility: Up to five awards offered annually. The number of awards varies and is based on the number of applicants and dollars available in the scholarship fund.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or higher.
  4. Must be entering his/her sophomore, junior, or senior year at time of application; freshmen and graduate students are not eligible to apply.

Description: This award is offered to U.S. college sophomores, juniors, and seniors at Coalition of Higher Education Assistance Organizations (COHEAO) member colleges. Students must have a grade point average of 3.75 or higher.

Application requirements for the COHEAO Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Recommendation letter
  • Essay
  • Official Transcript
Additional Information: Only one scholarship per family per academic year will be awarded. COHEAO members and their immediate family members are not eligible to apply. The student must also attend a COHEAO member school. A list of COHEAO member schools is available on the COHEAO website under the 'Membership' tab.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications are available on the Coalition of Higher Education Assistance Organizations (COHEAO) website by clicking 'Scholarship' underneath the 'About COHEAO' headline. In addition to a completed application, students must submit the following materials: a letter of recommendation; an essay addressing the question(s) listed on the application; and a sealed official transcript. Completed applications and supporting materials must be postmarked by the deadline date and sent as one package in the designated order described on the application.
