Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  3. Must be a resident of Vermont.
  4. Must have already received a four-year undergraduate degree.
  5. Must be enrolled in an eligible graduate certificate or license program.
  6. Must pursue training in special education administration.
  7. Must demonstrate academic achievement with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  8. Must be enrolled on a quarter-time (three credit hours) or higher basis.

Description: This scholarship is open to Vermont graduate students who are seeking a certificate or license in special education administration. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: This scholarship was created to honor Dr. Marc Hull, a former Vermont commissioner of education who dedicated his career to creating equitable learning opportunities for people with disabilities. Please note: This scholarship is funded by an endowment subject to laws restricting disbursements under certain investment yield scenarios; as a result, there can be no guarantee of a scholarship award for the upcoming academic year. Students must attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding and must demonstrate community involvement/service (particularly related to individuals with disabilities). Selection is based on application documents and academic achievement.

Award Amount: Up to $1,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.
