Number of Awards & Eligibility: Varies, approximately 400-500 awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must attend Eastern University, PA.
  2. Must enroll as a full time, degree-seeking student.
  3. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  4. Recipients generally are in the top 50 percent of their class, have a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher, and have an SAT score of 1000 or higher (out of 1600).
  5. Must be a high school senior or older.

Description: This scholarship is offered to U.S. and international freshman and transfer students who attend Eastern University in Pennsylvania. The student must display financial need after federal and state sources have been awarded and applied.

Additional Information: Eastern University is a Christian university of the arts and sciences dedicated through teaching, scholarship, service, spiritual formation, student development and societal involvement to the preparation of undergraduate and graduate students for thoughtful and productive lives of Christian faith and service. Scholarship amount is based on class rank and/or high school cumulative grade point average, SAT scores, reference's and essay(s). Transfer students are also eligible with the inclusion of official college transcripts.

Award Amount: Award amount ranges from $11,000 to $20,000 annually, renewable for up to three additional years. Renewability is based on the students status and a yearly criteria set by EU.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $66,000.

Students are considered for this award upon acceptance to Eastern University, PA. No separate scholarship application is required. Students who meet the eligibility requirements should apply directly through Eastern University. Applications for admission are available online on the Eastern University website or by downloading the printable application found by clicking the undergraduate admissions link. As part of the application, students must include; official transcripts or official GED results, SAT or ACT score report (transfer students may omit), a reference form or letter, and write an essay describing how he/she sees his/her talents, interests, and abilities fitting into the mission of the Eastern University. Applications for admission are accepted throughout the year. Applications will be reviewed by the admissions committee and students will be notified of decision within 4-6 weeks. Students should complete the admission process prior to the start of the term he/she plans to attend. Classes generally begin in late August for the fall term and mid-January for the spring term.
