  2. Must be a graduating high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student.
  3. This award is for U.S. students.
  4. Must be majoring in land and natural resource management.

Description: The Farrar Ranch Family Scholarship is available for students from Nolan County, Texas who are majoring in land and natural resource management.

Additional Information: The Farrar Ranch Family Scholarship is provided annually to residents of Nolan County, Texas who are majoring in or planning to major in land and natural resource management. The award is sponsored in partnership with the Big Country RC&D Area, Inc. in Sweetwater, Texas, and will be awarded to a student who shows good character and a passion for the land, animals, and natural beauty of the region. This scholarship is administered and managed through the Austin Community Foundation. Founded in 1977, the Austin Community Foundation has expanded to combine philanthropists, community leaders, and advanced financial management technologies. The foundation works to identify and assist the local populations in greatest need through a combination of scholarships, local initiatives, and grants. Award Amount: $1,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.

For this scholarship, the following is required: copies of standardized test scores; a list of all awards and academic honors; a list of extracurricular activities including clubs, athletics, and other campus activities; a list of other hobbies, interests, and talents; a resume detailing the applicant's work history; and an essay describing the applicant's career plans and goals. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted online by the deadline date. Any late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.
