Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. Scholarships are limited in number. They are competitive and are awarded annually on a rolling basis early in the scholarship cycle.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a graduate of an honors program OR a member of Phi Theta Kappa.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
  4. Must enroll full time (12 or more credit hours per semester).
  5. Must plan to attend Florida Atlantic University.
  6. Must be an incoming junior transfer student.
  7. Must graduate from a Florida College System institution prior to transferring to FAU.
  8. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available to U.S. students who will graduate from a Florida College System institution and plan to transfer to Florida Atlantic University. The student must be a graduate of an Honors Program or be a member of Phi Theta Kappa, and must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Application requirements for the FAU Honors/Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
Additional Information: Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee a scholarship. Scholarships offered through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions are not stackable.

Award Amount: $3,200 annually, renewable for up to five semesters or until graduation. This award is paid out in equal installments of $1,600 per semester.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,200.
