Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a woman.
  2. Must be a member of a sorority.
  3. Must be a graduating college senior or graduate student.
  4. Must have attended high school in the Greater Kansas City metro area.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 3.2 or higher.
  6. This award is for U.S. students.
  7. Must attend a college or university in Kansas or Missouri.

Description: The Greater Kansas City Alumnae Panhellenic Scholarship Fund is available for sorority women who reside in or attended high school in the Greater Kansas City area. Applicants must be enrolled in her senior year of college or entering graduate school in the states of Kansas or Missouri.

Additional Information: The Greater Kansas City Alumnae Panhellenic Scholarship Fund is provided annually to sorority women who reside in or attended high school in the Greater Kansas City area. Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, a history of community service, and other extracurricular activities. Finalists must be available for an in-person interview in late February in Kansas City. This scholarship is administered through the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation (GKCCF), a local area charity founded in 1978 with the purpose of providing a dedicated and consolidated resource for diverse and otherwise unrelated charity efforts. From its humble beginnings, the scope of the GKCCF has expanded to include the broader regional area, as well as national inititatives, scholarships, and other programs designed to benefit communities across the country.

Award Amount: The award amount varies annually depending on the recipient's demonstrated financial need, as well as the availability of funding.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

To be considered for this scholarship, students must submit a completed online application form as well as the following documents and responses to the supplemental questions: a completed educational budget section of the application; an essay of up to 500 words in length addressing the topic on the application; a brief personal statement detailing any unusual circumstances or causes of financial need; and a letter of recommendation from someone who is not related to the applicant. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted online by the deadline date. Any late or incomplete submissions will be discarded.
