Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be a college junior or senior.
  4. Must attend the University of Idaho.
  5. Must be enrolled in the Department of Natural Resources at UI.

Description: This scholarship is open to college juniors and seniors who are enrolled at the University of Idaho in the Department of Natural Resources. Academic achievement (40 percent), leadership potential (30 percent), and school/community involvement (30 percent) will be considered when judging applicants.

Award Amount: The award amount varies annually. Awards are non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,600.

Applications are available on the Idaho Community Foundation (ICF) website. Please note: The student may apply for all scholarships for which he/she is qualified; however, a separate application and supplemental materials must be submitted for each scholarship. In addition to a completed application, the student must submit the following materials: five one-page essays addressing the topics listed on the application; a statement of 300 to 600 words summarizing curricular and extracurricular activities and accomplishments and describing his/her qualifications, goals, and objectives for higher education; official college grade transcripts; three letters of recommendation describing his/her character, personality traits, and academic achievements (one or two of which must be from teachers, counselors, or administrators and one of which must be from a community leader or employer who has had an opportunity to personally observe his/her character and initiative); and exhibits showing notable achievement in scholarship, leadership, athletics, dramatics, literature and community service (optional). Please note: Application materials should not exceed 15 pages, one-sided. Applications must be emailed to the address provided by the deadline date.
