Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards provided varies each year. All eligible students will be automatically considered at the time of admissions.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a graduating high school senior at the time of application.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Must have an SAT score of 1100 or higher (reading and math sections combined) or an ACT score of 24 or higher.
  5. Must plan to attend Indiana University-Bloomington.
  6. Must not be a resident of Indiana.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available to U.S. and International high school students who are not residents of Indiana and planning to attend Indiana University-Bloomington. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and a SAT score of 1100 or higher or an ACT score of 24 or higher.

Application requirements for the Indiana University-Bloomington Dean’s Scholarship are:

  • Official Transcript
  • Admission Application
  • SAT/ACT scores
Additional Information: Indiana University at Bloomington provides a wide variety of scholarships to entering freshmen students. The IU Bloomington Dean's Scholarship is available for incoming freshman students from outside of Indiana who demonstrate strong academic records. The admission office will determine the student's eligibility based on the student's academic profile at the time of admission. Students should contact Indiana University for additional details regarding the terms and conditions of this scholarship.

Award Amount: $1,000 to $11,000 annually, renewable for up to three additional years providing the student maintains full-time enrollment with a 3.0 cumulative program grade point average. Award amounts will be based on the student's academic records and standardized test scores at the time of admission.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $24,000.

Students can view information about this award online at the Indiana University-Bloomington college website. To apply, students must apply for admission to Indiana University. A separate scholarship application is not required. Interested students must contact Indiana University admissions by phone, e-mail, mail, or website to request an application packet, or apply online from the college website. There is a processing fee for applying. In addition to the application fees students must submit the following materials to be considered for admission: Official high school transcript; SAT/ACT scores; and a complete Counselor Signature form (PDF available online). International students must also submit: A Document Cover Page; English Proficiency/TOEFL score; Official academic records; and an International Student Financial Documentation form. For scholarship consideration, all application materials for admission must be submitted online or postmarked by November 1.
