In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must be an undergraduate student at the time of application.
  4. Must be majoring in education.
  5. Must demonstrate unmet financial need.
  6. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.

Description: This award is available for undergraduate residents of Kent County, Michigan who are pursuing a major in education. Applicants must be enrolled at a college or university in Michigan, must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and must demonstrate unmet financial need.

Additional Information: The Grand Rapids Community Foundation awards hundreds of scholarships annually, primarily to Kent County students bound for or in college, or those pursuing a technical career.
