  1. Applicant must be accepted into or enrolled in a US college, university, institute or technical college
  2. Applicant must be accepted into or enrolled in full-time undergraduate or graduate study

Description: The Joshua Gomes Memorial Scholarship Fund aims to lay a path for hope for young adults like Josh – those with HIV/AIDS – by providing academic scholarships to universities of their choice. Each $1,000 scholarship we award will give the recipient a strong message: YOU ARE WORTH INVESTING IN. Scholarships are awarded based on a combination of merit and need. We hope to allow Josh’s love for learning and community service to continue through another young adult who also exhibits these qualities.

Application requirements for the Joshua Gomes Memorial Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Letter from doctor certifying that the applicant is HIV positive or has AIDS
  • Recent photograph of applicant
  • Proof of enrollment to college/university
