Number of Awards & Eligibility: Varies, all eligible students will be considered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  2. Must be a first time incoming freshmen.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.2 to 3.5.
  4. Must have an SAT score (reading/math) of 1000 to 1100 OR an ACT score of 20 to 22.
  5. Must plan to attend Ouachita Baptist University.
  6. This award is for U.S. students.
  7. Must be a full-time student.
  8. Must attend college or university in Arkansas.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available to U.S. high school seniors who are planning to attend Ouachita Baptist University. Students must have a grade point average of 3.2 to 3.5, and a SAT score (reading/math) between 1000 to 1100 or higher or an ACT score between 20 to 22.

Additional Information: Ouachita Baptist University is a church-related, liberal arts university whose aims are to meet the educational needs of students and to prepare students for places of leadership and service. Entering freshmen students will be automatically becconsidered based on the combination of student's high school grade point average and SAT or ACT scores. All merit-based aid is calculated using official test scores from ACT and/or SAT and the grade point average as calculated by Ouachita's Registrar Office.

Award Amount: $11,000 annually, renewable for an additional three years by maintaining full-time enrollment with a grade point average of 2.0 or higher.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $44,000.

To apply, students must apply for admission to Ouachita Baptist University (OBU). A separate scholarship application is not required. Interested students must contact Ouachita Baptist admissions by phone, e-mail, mail, or website to request an application packet, or apply online from the college website. Along with the completed admission application, students must submit the following materials; an official high school transcript, ACT or SAT scores, and two recent photographs. Students will be notified of decision by an admission counselor once all application materials are received. Applications for admission are reviewed on a rolling basis. Priority consideration will be given to applications submitted prior to March 1 of the award year.
