In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must show outstanding academic achievement.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. resident. If the applicant is currently in the process of applying for citizenship or residency, he/she may still be eligible. Please contact QuestBridge for more information.
  4. Past recipients have typically come from households earning less than $60,000 annually.
  5. Must be a high school junior at time of application.

Description: This scholarship is for high school juniors who have achieved excellent academic results and are from a low-income family.

Additional Information: The QuestBridge College Prep Scholarship prepares outstanding low-income high school juniors to become successful applicants to leading colleges. The scholarship helps to level the college admissions playing field by offering recipients opportunities that many other college applicants already receive.

Award Amount: The summer programs are an estimated value of $8,165 annually, non-renewable. This scholarship includes tuition, room, and board.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $8,165.

Online applications are available on the QuestBridge website. In addition to a completed application, the student must also submit the following documents: Two recommendations from a former or current teacher; a Secondary School Report completed by a high school counselor; high school academic transcripts; as well as any standardized test scores such as ACT, SAT, etc. Students should also prepare to answer questions about financial information and tax records during the online application.
