Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
  4. Must have completed 24 or more undergraduate credit hours.
  5. Must plan to transfer to Southeast Missouri State University.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. college students who have earned 24 or more credit hours at a community college and are planning to attend Southeast Missouri State University are eligible for this award. Students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and transfer from a regionally accredited community college.

Application requirements for the SMSU Community College Scholarship are:

Additional Information: The applicant must transfer from a regionally accredited two-year college.

Award Amount: $1,500 annually, renewable for an additional year as long as the recipient maintains a 3.5 cumulative grade point average in courses taken at Southeast and completes a minimum of 30 credit hours per academic year at Southeast. Southeast summer hours taken in the same academic year may be used to meet renewal criteria.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.

Applications are available online from the Southeast Missouri State University. The applicant will be automatically considered upon admission. In addition to the completed application for admission, the student must submit a $30 application fee and official transcripts. Applications must be submitted by Nov. 1 for the spring semester or March 1 for the fall semester.
