Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international students.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher if an undergraduate student or 3.5 or higher if a graduate student.
  3. Must be a non-immigrant visa holder currently enrolled as a full-time student.
  4. Must be attending Texas A&M University.
  5. Must have been enrolled at Texas A&M for two or more semesters, not including the current semester.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: International students who have been enrolled at Texas A&M University for two or more semesters are eligible for this award. Students must be enrolled in an undergraduate program and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, or be enrolled in a graduate program with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Additional Information: This award is presented annually to an international student who has excelled in academics, leadership, service, and participation in extracurricular activities. This is the highest honor bestowed on an international student at Texas A&M. This award is announced as a highlight of International Week. Eligible students must have participated extensively in campus and community extracurricular activities in leadership positions.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.

Applications are available online on the Texas A&M University (TAMU) website. The application should be submitted through the 'Student Financial Aid On-Line Common Application' system. The student must login to the system using his/her 'Net ID'. The student should be sure to complete the 'Eligibility and Financial Resources' pages within the 'International/Study Abroad' section of the application. In addition to a completed application, the student must submit the following: a letter of nomination from a TAMU faculty member, on departmental letterhead, describing the academic achievements of the applicant; a letter of nomination from an individual (faculty, staff, community member, or organization officer) describing first-hand knowledge of the leadership activities or active membership of the applicant in community or campus organizations; and a typed statement that includes the three topics listed online at https://sfaid.tamu.edu/uwideapp/requirements/ISS/NominationEppright.asp. An optional third letter of nomination supporting the student may also be submitted. This is not necessary, but this third letter will be accepted in addition to the required two described above if the student feels that it is important for his/her application. The essay and letters of nomination must be mailed to the address provided and must be received by 5 p.m. CST on the deadline date.
