Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. In the past, one scholarship has been awarded. Students may receive more than one scholarship.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must reside in of one of the following states: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana or Alaska.
  2. Must identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  4. Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of application.
  5. Must be African-American.
  6. This award is for U.S. students.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for African American undergraduate and graduate students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer (LGBTQ). Applicants must reside in of one of the following states: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana or Alaska.

Additional Information: Recognizing the tremendous financial need of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) students, as well as straight ally students in the region, Pride Foundation began its scholarship program to help develop tomorrow's leaders that work for social justice. Since 1993 the foundation has helped more than 550 students achieve their educational goals.

Award Amount: The monetary award amount varies and is determined by the scholarship provider. Generally, scholarships offered through the foundation are a minimum of $500 to a maximum of $12,000. The award is offered annually, and is non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $12,000.
