Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be a rising college junior or senior.
  4. Must meet admission requirements and be accepted to the University of North Florida.
  5. Must be a declared major in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
  6. Must have earned a UNF or transfer grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  7. Must enroll full time (12 or more credit hours) each semester and earn 24 or more credit hours by the end of each academic year.

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. students at the University of North Florida who are majoring in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate leadership and participation in a professional society, design competition, or other activities.

Additional Information: The University of North Florida's School of Engineering and Department of Construction Management are proud to offer this scholarship sponsored by UNF Engineering Advisory Council (EAC). The EAC is comprised of local leaders in the field of engineering who have an interest in supporting and promoting students in the School of Engineering. All students must demonstrate leadership and participation in a professional society, design competition, or other activities. Scholarship recipients must: maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher; remain in good standing as a student; comply with all University regulations, rules, and codes of conduct governing students on campus; and consent to release grades to the Division of Institutional Advancement for the purpose of reporting to the donor.

Award Amount: $1,400 annually. The initial award will be disbursed in spring term only.Current recipients may apply for renewal and will be given preference pending availability of funding and if the applicant continues to meet all selection criteria and responsibilities. No student will be eligible to receive more than four semesters of scholarship support.The amount of the award will be determined by the fund manager, but it cannot exceed the maximum cost of tuition, books, campus housing, meal plan, transportation and miscellaneous expenses, as reflected in the annual "Cost of Education" budget prepared by the UNF Financial Aid Office.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,400.

Applications will be available online on the University of North Florida (UNF) College of Computing, Engineering & Construction (CCEC) website.As part of the online application, the student must submit short essay answers (300 characters or less) describing his/her career interests, extracurricular activities, and work experience.The scholarship application must be completed online and submitted by the deadline date. Only electronic applications will be considered.
