Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. This award is highly competitive.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be classified as a non-Arizona resident for tuition purposes.
  4. Must plan to complete 30 credits per academic year.
  5. Must be a high school senior planning to attend college for the first time in the fall.
  6. Must plan to attend the University of Arizona.
  7. Must have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher.
  8. Must have an ACT score of 24 or higher OR an SAT score of 1110 or higher.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. entering freshmen at the University of Arizona who are not residents of Arizona. Students must have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher and an ACT score of 24 or higher or an SAT score of 1110 or higher.

Application requirements for the University of Arizona Excellence Tuition Award are:

  • SAT/ACT scores
Additional Information: Award offers and values are based on high school merit and residency. Students selected for this scholarship will receive an offer with their admission acceptance letter. Awards are not offered to students admitted for spring or summer.

Award Amount: Up to $20,000 offered.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $20,000.
