Number of Awards & Eligibility: A limited number of awards are available.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.9 or higher.
  3. Must have an ACT score of 29 or higher.
  4. Must plan to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin.
  5. Must plan to enroll in 12 or more credit hours each semester.
  6. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  7. Must plan to attend a college or university in Tennessee.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for U.S. students who are planning to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin on a full-time basis. Applicants must be graduatig high school seniors with a grade point average of 3.9 or higher, and an ACT score of 29 or higher.

Application requirements for the University of Tennessee at Martin Chancellor’s Award are:

Additional Information: Recipients are invited to and expected to participate in seminars and attend lectures with distinguished campus visitors in order to remain eligible for renewal of this award for additional years.

Award Amount: $3,000 annually, renewable for up to three additional years provided the student maintains a grade point average of 3.2 or higher. Out of state students will also receive a waiver covering the difference between in-state and out of state tuition.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $12,000.

Applications for admission are available online from the University of Tennesee at Martin website. There is not a separate application for this award. A student will be considered upon admission. In addition to the completed application for admission, the student must submit a $30 application fee, ACT scores, and transcripts. To receive priority consideration for this award and all financial aid opportunities available at the University of Tennessee at Martin, it is recommended that students submit all admissions and financial aid applications prior to the deadline date.
